What is the UP Nishulk Boring Yojana 2026?
The UP Nishulk Boring Yojana 2026 is launched by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to provide a free borewell installation to small and marginal farmers for agricultural irrigation.
Under this scheme, a pump set is provided to farmers at the subsidy rate or free, and the capacity of the pump is up to 5 HP

Objective
In India, especially in the Uttar Pradesh region, although there are vast areas of land in the Ganga basin, due to it being the most populated state, the production of food grains is its top priority, and to fulfil this, farmers of Uttar Pradesh generally face the problem of irrigation.
So, Uttar Pradesh launches this scheme to provide free borewell installation to small and marginal farmers for agricultural irrigation.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for this scheme are:

Small farmers (Laghu Kisan): Land holding up to 2 hectares.

Marginal farmers (Simant Kisan): Land holding up to 1 hectare.

Permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh, and land must be situated in Uttar Pradesh.

Farmers must not have a prior borewell.

SC/ST farmers with any land holding are eligible for this scheme.

First, visit the official portal of UP Nishulk Boring Yojana (https://minorirrigationup.gov.in/) or go to the Minor Irrigation Office in your district.

Upload all the documents: Khasra/khatauni, Aadhaar Card, caste certificate, etc.

Submit your application to the Block/Tehsil Minor Irrigation Inspector.

After submitting the form, it will be inspected by the Field Inspection Officer, and if all the data is found, it will be approved.
