Candidates appearing for Level III should focus on conceptual understanding instead of simply revising definitions. Since PGT teachers are expected to teach Class 9 to 12 students, the examination assesses both advanced subject knowledge and teaching aptitude. Revising important formulas, theories, educational philosophies, and subject-specific concepts can improve accuracy. The Board of School Education (BSEH) has released the admit card for the PGT level paper on 01 July for the exam scheduled to be held on 04 July. The admit card for PRT & TGT level posts will be releasing today.

Level II candidates often carried away in preparing for the subject specialization and neglect pedagogy. However, HTET exam equally puts weightage on CDP as well as subject concerned. Candidates should revise teaching methods, lesson planning, assessment techniques, Bloom's Taxonomy, and classroom management strategies alongside their core subject. This balanced preparation can improve both confidence and overall scores in the examination.

Candidates appearing for HTET Level I should remember that the examination is designed to assess their ability to teach students from Classes 1 to 5. Focus on the questions involving child psychology, classroom interaction, learning difficulties, and activity-based teaching methods. Revising concepts like inclusive education, learning disabilities, motivation, and formative assessment can prove beneficial. Child Development and Pedagogy continues to be one of the most important sections across all HTET levels. The questions from this section are generally framed around learning theories, teaching methods, classroom management, educational psychology, inclusive education, and child-centred learning approaches. Candidates should focus on understanding concepts instead of memorizing definitions. The questions are designed in such a way that they often test the practical application of educational theories in classroom situations. This suggests that the candidates must focus on conceptual clarity.

Instead of starting new topics at the last minute, candidates should revise previous years' HTET question papers and mock tests. Solving earlier papers helps understand question trends, important topics, and time management strategies. Many recurring concepts are frequently tested in teacher eligibility examinations, making previous year practice highly beneficial.

During the final days before the examination, candidates should prioritize revision of already prepared topics rather than learning entirely new concepts. As per the official notice, Divyang candidates, including the visually impaired, who are unable to write with their own hands and wish to avail the facility of a scribe, may be granted 50 minutes of compensatory time for each paper of the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test-2025. Similarly, all Divyang candidates, including the visually impaired, who are unable to write fully with their own hands but do not wish to avail the scribe facility may also be granted 50 minutes of compensatory time. The facility of a scribe may be provided to a candidate belonging to the visually impaired category (with 40% or greater disability) or to one unable to write with their own hands (if the candidate so desires). Candidates may select their own scribe or request the Board office to provide one. Such candidates should contact Room No. 28 of the Board office regarding the scribe between 09:00 AM and 04:30 PM, at least four days prior to the examination. Additionally, permission for a scribe may also be granted by the Centre Superintendent upon request. Such candidates should contact the Superintendent of their allotted examination centre at least two days before the exam, between 01:00 PM and 04:00 PM, carrying the necessary medical documents and documents verifying the scribe's identity and qualifications. The educational qualification of the scribe must not exceed the Senior Secondary level. 

As per the notice released by the BSEH, "Candidates must ensure they carry a colour printout of each of the two sections of the admit card: the 'Centre Copy' and the 'Candidate Copy'. It is mandatory for candidates to affix the same colour photograph, uploaded during registration onto the admit card, have it attested by a gazetted officer, and carry it to the examination centre".

Female candidates will be permitted to wear a bindi, sindoor, and mangalsutra. Baptized Sikh candidates are permitted to carry religious symbols.

Carrying items such as jewelry (rings, earrings, chains, necklaces, pendants, brooches, etc.), metal objects, cameras, watches, calculators, mobile phones, pagers, Bluetooth devices, earphones, purses, log tables, health bands, electronic gadgets, plastic pouches, blank or printed paper, written chits, etc., inside the examination center will not be permitted.

Candidates must carry an original government-issued photo identity proof such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving Licence, or Voter ID along with the printed HTET amdit card. The identity proof should match the details printed on the admit card. Failure to produce valid identification may result in denial of entry to the examination centre.

Candidates should reach their examination centre at least 2 hours and 10 minutes before the commencement of the examination. This will allow sufficient time for biometric verification, identity checking, security screening, and seating arrangements. Last-minute rush may create unnecessary stress and could even prevent candidates from entering the examination hall if they arrive after the prescribed time.

HTET Level III is conducted for candidates who wants to apply for Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) positions in Classes 9 to 12. The paper assesses teaching aptitude, pedagogy, language proficiency, reasoning ability, Haryana General Knowledge, quantitative aptitude, and subject-specific knowledge. Candidates must preparae dilligently as the level of the paper is comparatively good as compared to PRT and TGT papers. Candidates must fully utilise the final days before the exam to prepare effectively.

HTET Level II exam is for candidates who wish to teach Classes 6 to 8. Candidates appearing for HTET Level I are aspiring to become Primary Teachers (PRTs) for Classes 1 to 5. The HTET Level 1 examination assesses a candidate's understanding of Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. The focus is also on the conceptual understanding and teaching aptitude. Aspirants should revise pedagogy concepts thoroughly because Child Development and Pedagogy forms an important part of the examination.

There is no negative marking for incorrect responses in the HTET exam. Every correct answer carries one mark, while wrong answers do not attract any penalty. This gives advantage to the candidates of attempting as many questions as possible without the fear of marks deduction. However, it is recommended to avoid random guessing for a large number of questions as it can reduce the overall accuracy Since every mark matters in qualifying for the Teacher Eligibility Test, candidates should focus on maximizing attempts while maintaining accuracy throughout the examination.

The HTET examination consists of a single paper for all the three levels. Each paper will consist of 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions carrying one mark each. Candidates will get 2 hours 30 minutes to complete the examination. The exam will be held in offline mode. Every question has four options, out of which only one option is correct. Candidates should ensure they darken the correct circle completely on the OMR sheet to avoid any deduction of marks.

The admit card link has not been released on the official website yet. Candidates should beware of the websites who are showing that the admit card is out. 

The HTET exam is scheduled to be held on 04th & 05th July 2026. The exam on 04th will be conducted for Level III PGT posts in the evening shift. Level II & Level I exam will be conducted on 05th July in two shifts.

The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted for Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 posts.

The BSEH has released the HTET exam city slip on 25 June 2026 for the examination to be held on 04th & 05th July. The candidates must plan their travel accordingly as per the alloted city for their examination. The admit card is going to be released shortly on the official website.

The BSEH will not allow the candidates to change their exam center or subject after the admit card is issued. The modifications in the application was only allowed when the correction portal window opens. No caniddates under any circumstances is allowed to hange their examination centers.

As per the notice released by the BSEH, the candifdates are askjed to report 2 hours 10 minutes before the commencement of the exam so that the procedures such as metal detector screening at the main gate, biometrics, thumbprint data capture, and other mandatory formalities can be completed on time.
