FMGE June 2026: Medical associations, led by FAIMA, have appealed to the Union Ministry of Health regarding serious anomalies in the FMGE June 2026 exam. Issues raised include unannounced video-based questions, extreme difficulty, and poor center facilities in Noida, which contributed to a 12.77% pass percentage. Demands include answer keys and relaxed cut-offs.

FMGE June 2026: FAIMA, along with other medical graduate associations, has formally issued a representation to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare seeking prompt intervention into serious anomalies in the June 2026 session of the FMGE examination. The petition for redressal arises due to the outburst of anger among candidates on account of the introduction of unanticipated video-based clinical questions, a sudden rise in the level of difficulty and various technical errors.

Apart from that, candidates at several test centres, especially Noida, have reported deplorable testing environments, such as the non-functioning of the air conditioning system amidst hot weather, no drinking water facility and faulty computer systems. While stressing upon the unprecedentedly low pass percentage of 12.77% in the month of June 2026, FAIMA has asked the Ministry of Health to make NBEMS completely transparent. Major concerns raised include the release of the official answer key and response sheet, reevaluation of testing conditions, video question system and compensatory action in the form of low qualifying cut-offs/grace marks.

Core Issues Raised by FAIMA & Medical Associations

  • Unannounced Clinical Video-Based Question: The candidates found that there was an unannounced and unprepared set of short video-based clinical questions which were introduced without prior notice or time allocation.

  • Inadequate Infrastructure at the Test Centre: There have been severe allegations raised about inadequate management of the venue due to the absence of air conditioning and other amenities.

  • Unprecedented Difficulty Level: There has been a considerable increase in the difficulty level of the test compared to the standard parameters, leading to a low pass percentage (12.77%).

Key Demands Submitted to the Ministry & NBEMS

  • Reduce Qualifying Cut-Off/Grace Marks: Offering grace marks or reducing the cut-off mark of 150 to compensate for any surprise changes in question paper format.

  • Publishing of Answer Keys and Candidate Answer Sheets: Seeking for release of answer keys and candidates' answer sheets for transparent marking of answers.

  • Review Panel: NBEMS had formed an independent 3-member panel headed by Air Marshal (Dr.) Pawan Kapoor (Retd.).
