Uttarakhand School Holiday on July 10, 2026: All schools will remain closed because of the rain warning in Uttarakhand. In view of the existing scenario of rainfall in the district of Uttarakhand and based on the updated weather forecast issued on July 09, 2026, by the Director, India Meteorological Department, IMD Dehradun, there is a high probability of rainfall that is heavy to very heavy with lightning, with extremely heavy rainfall at some places in Dehradun district during the next 24 hours. A red alert has been issued for Dehradun.

Accordingly, it has been decided to declare a holiday on July 10, 2026, in all educational institutions and Anganwadi centres from class 1st to 12th in the district.
Therefore, all government, non-government, and private schools in the district, as well as all Anganwadi centers, will be closed on July 10, 2026. It is advised to the Chief Education Officer, Dehradun, and the District Program Officer, Dehradun, to ensure that no educational institution and no Anganwadi center functions in this heavy rainfall condition.
