The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has started the application process for JNVST Class 6 Admission 2027 and released the official admission notification along with the prospectus. Students who want to take admission to Class 6 in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) for the 2027-28 academic session can apply online until 31 July 2026. The entrance exam is scheduled to be held on 28 November 2026.While the results are expected to be announced by the end of March 2027. Students currently studying in class 5 during the 2026-27 academic year in a recognized school are eligible to apply provided they satisfy the required age and domicile conditions. Eligibility Criteria for NVS Admission 2027

Students who wish to apply for JNVST 2027 must meet the following eligibility requirements. Also a candidate is allowed to appear for the entrance test only once.

  • The applicant should be studying in class 5 during the 2026-27 academic session
  • The student must be a permanent resident of the district for which admission is being sought
  • The applicant should have completed Classes 3, 4 and 5 from recognized school
  • Only student born between 1 May 2015 and 31 July 2017 (both dates included) can apply
  • Students who have already passed Class 5 or are repeating the class are not eligible to appear for the exam 

District Wise Admission Rule for JNVST 2027 

According to the latest admission guidelines, students can apply only for the Jawahar Navodya Vidyalaya (JNV) located in their home district. However, there is an exception for students who study in a nearby district. They can still apply if their school is within 10 km of their place of residence. The eligibility will be verified by NVS during the admission process. If a student applies for JNV in a wrong district their application will be canceled even if they are selected provisionally.

Students who wish to apply for Navodaya Class 6 admission 2027-28 can complete the application form online by following the steps given below:

  1. Visit the official Navodaya website at navodaya.gov.in
  2. Click on class 6 admission 2027-28 application link 
  3. Fill in the required details in the application form carefully 
  4. Upload the necessary documents and photograph in the prescribed format
  5. Review all the information before submitting the form and make corrections if required 
  6. Save the application number and download the confirmation page for future reference
