CISCE Opens Registration for SHINE 2026: Digital Assessment Initiative to Track Student Learning Patterns

CISCE SHINE 2026: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has officially started the process of registration for the Student Holistic Insight and Nurturing Evaluation (SHINE) 2026. This digital assessment process has been developed keeping in view the requirements of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This assessment process will evaluate the students' abilities in three crucial classes – Classes 4, 6, and 9. The learning trajectory of the students will be assessed, and their conceptual gap will be identified at the early stage without putting the students in the traditional exam pressure.
The students of Class 4 will be evaluated through the game-based evaluation, whereas digital evaluation will be conducted for the students of Classes 6 and 9. This digital evaluation will assess the core competencies of the students of the subjects in accordance with Class 5 and Class 8, respectively. The registration process has been initiated on August 21, 2026, and is required to be done through the website of the board by CISCE-affiliated schools. Digital assessments would be held across the country from November 15 to November 30, 2026.

Access careers.cisce.org or the official website of the board via a web browser with administrative credentials.

Log in to the portal via user ID and password provided to the school principal or administrator.

Find and click on the 'SHINE 2026 Digital Assessment Registration' option available on the management dashboard.

Enter or upload in bulk the details of the students in Classes 4, 6, and 9.

Validate the details of the candidates, class and section details, and subject parameters to avoid errors in the digital assessment profile.

Register the candidate list for finalizing the batch registration and generate the digital assessment ID for each individual candidate.
