NEET UG Exam Fee Refund: The agency has extended the refund window for candidates who appeared for the NEET UG May 3 examination. Candidates may update their bank details by July 14 on the official website of the agency neet.nta.ac.in.

NEET UG Exam Refund 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has again extended the refund window for National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) Undergraduate (UG) examination, held on May 3, 2026. The May 3 examination was cancelled and postponed to June 21 due to an alleged paper leak, following which, the agency opened the window for exam fee refund. Students can submit their bank details till 11:50 pm of July 14 on the official website of the agency at neet.nta.nic.in.

NTA Extends NEET UG May 3 Exam Fee Refund Window

In the May 3 NEET UG examination, more than 20 lakh candidates had appeared, of which, only 10,28,233 students had submitted their bank details for the purpose of exam fee refund, according to the NTA. Subsequently, the agency decided to extend the window, allowing another opportunity for students to update and correct their bank account details for the fee refund process.

How To Apply For NEET UG May 3 Exam Fee Refund?

  • Visit the official website of the agency at neet.nta.nic.in.
  • On the homepage, click on “Bank Account Details Confirmation / Updation”.
  • Complete the two-factor authentication process.
  • A new window will open. Enter your bank account details.
  • Students can also upload a cancelled cheque to ensure the accuracy of the bank information provided.

NEET UG May 3 Exam Refund Window Extended Notification 

The NTA, in an official notification, dated July 7, said that they have once again extended the window to ensure every student receives their refund.

“A large number of students are yet to update/confirm their bank account details. Accordingly, with a view to ensuring that every eligible candidate receives the refund, NTA has decided to once again extend the refund portal to those candidates who are yet to confirm and update their bank account.” the official notice read.

What Was The Exam Fee For NEET UG?

General category students were required to pay an examination fee of Rs. 1,700, while those belonging to General-Economically Weaker Section (EWS)/ Other Backward Classes (OBC)- Non Creamy Layer (NCL) paid Rs. 1,600. Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) category candidates were required to pay Rs. 1,000. Those from outside India were required to pay Rs. 9,000.
