The Indian Institute of Technology, IIT, Roorkee, will officially open the application window for JEE Advanced 2026, starting April 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM. Candidates who ranked among the top 2.5 lakh candidates in JEE Main 2026 are eligible to apply for the prestigious entrance exam through the official website, jeeadv.ac.in.
The deadline to submit the online application is May 2, 2026, while the final date for registered candidates to pay the application fee is May 4, 2026. Aspirants are advised to keep their academic documents and JEE Main scorecards ready for the registration process.
JEE Advanced 2026: Check Eligibility Criteria and Exam Details
To qualify for the exam, candidates must meet specific age and attempt criteria. Applicants should be born on or after October 1, 2001, though a five-year age relaxation is offered for SC, ST, and PwD candidates. Additionally, a candidate can attempt JEE Advanced a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.
- Male candidates from the General and OBC-NCL categories must pay an application fee of Rs. 3200.
- The fee is reduced to Rs 1600 for all female candidates and those belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories.
- The exam will be held on May 17, 2026, consisting of two important three-hour papers.
- Hall tickets will be available for download from May 11, 2026, until the day of the exam.
Qualified candidates who wish to pursue B.Arch programs at IITs must also appear for the Architecture Aptitude Test, AAT, following the main results. Results for JEE Advanced 2026 are expected to be announced on June 1, 2026.
