Schools in Ghaziabad will remain closed today, July 10, 2026, due to heavy rainfall. School holiday announcement has been made considering the Orange alert issued by IMD and heavy rainfall in the region since yesterday.
Ghaziabad School Holiday: The Ghaziabad District Administration has announced a holiday for all schools from classes 1 to 12 for today, July 10, 2026. The holiday has been announced due to the Orange Alert issued by the IMD for thunderstorms, heavy rain and hailstorms in the district. As per reports, school holiday has been announced for Meerut, Baghpat and Bulandshahr regions as well.
The order regarding the school holiday was issued by the District Inspector of Schools as per the directions of the District Magistrate. School holiday announcement applies to all government, municipal and recognised schools affiliated with CBSE, ICSE and other state boards.
Ghaziabad has been experiencing continuous rain from yesterday, causing waterlogging, traffic congestion and flooding across several regions in the city. The administration has mentioned the IMD weather warning, stating that the department has issued an orange alert for July 10 in Ghaziabad, and considering the continuous rainfall in the city since yesterday, to ensure the safety of students, a holiday has been declared for classes 1 to 12 in all schools in the district.
As per reports, schools have also been asked to ensure the order is fulfilled and not to conduct any classes today. The administration has also urged residents to remain cautious while travelling and avoid waterlogged stretches unless necessary.

Authorities are yet to provide clarity on the possibility of a school holiday for today, July 10, 2026. There is no official confirmation regarding school holidays in Delhi, Noida (Gautam Buddh Nagar), Gurugram or Faridabad. Parents and students are advised to stay in touch with their school administration regarding individual institution decisions for a school holiday, taking into account the weather conditions and the safety of students and teachers.
