Why is the AIBE Certificate of Practice Important ?
The Certificate of Practice (COP) is an important document for every advocate in India. It is issued by the Bar Council of India to candidates who qualify the AIBE exam and complete all the required formalities. The Cop gives law graduates the legal right to practice in Indian courts and represent clients.
Without a valid certificate of practice candidates cannot appear in court on behalf of clients or carry out legal work as an advocate. The certificate also confirms that a lawyer is eligible to become a member of the bar association. This is why candidates should complete the document verification process on time to receive their CoP without any delay.
