• The institute offers BS in Data Science and Applications, BS in Electronic Systems, along with a newly launched BS in Management and Data Science.

• Students are evaluated based on a dedicated qualifier exam. Students can enroll based on Class 12 qualifications from a recognized institute.

• Applicants are provided four weeks of introductory online coursework by IIT faculty. In this, if they score above the minimum requirements in regular assignments, they will be qualified to appear for an in-person qualifier test. After qualifying for the round, it allows applicants to get into the foundation level.

• The program is very flexible and offers multiple entry and exit points. It allows students to walk away with various options like certificates, diplomas, or afull BS degree from IIT Madras based on academic credits earned during the period. 

Self-Sponsored M.Tech Program (No GATE scores required)

• The program follows a self-sponsored framework, offering specializations in artificial intelligence (full-time, two-year) Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)Electrical Engineering (EE) and other interdisciplinary programs such as Integrated Circuits and Microsystems Packaging, Smart Mobility, Medical Device Innovation) 

• To enroll for the PG program, candidates need to hold a B.Tech or BE degree with a minimum 7.0 CGPA. 

• The application process requires candidates to qualify for a written entrance test followed by an interview.

IIT Admission 2026 Without JEE or GATE
