HP TET TGT Exam Analysis 2026: Section-Wise Question Paper Review, Difficulty Level & Good Attempts

HP TET TGT Exam 2026 The HP TET TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) Examination 2026 was successfully held today on 13th June, by Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE). The examination would be conducted in two shifts, where TGT (Arts) TET will be from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, and TGT (Medical) TET will be from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. HP TET TGT Exam Pattern 2026
The HP TET TGT examination includes a total of 150 multiple-choice questions for 150 marks. For the TGT Arts, the paper is divided into four subjects, namely Child Psychology and Development (30 Q), General Awareness including topics on Himachal Pradesh (30 Q), English Literature & Grammar (30 Q), and Social Studies (60 Q). The test will be conducted in offline mode each time. The duration of the examination is 2 hours 30 minutes. There will be no negative marking in the examination. You are allowed to attempt freely.
For the TGT medical, the paper is divided into four subjects: Child Psychology and Pedagogy (30 Q), General Awareness including topics on Himachal Pradesh (30 Q), Botany and Zoology (60 Q), and Chemistry (30 Q).
HP TET TGT Exam Timing 2026
The HP TET 2026 examination will be conducted in two shifts for TGT Arts and TGT Medical candidates. The TGT Arts exam would be conducted in the morning shift from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, while the TGT Medical exam would be conducted in the afternoon shift from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Candidates in both shifts will be given a total duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete the examination.
