National Testing Agency, NTA has released the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Mains 2026 Result. This year, as many as 14 lakh students appeared for the two shifts, the final result of which is now available on jeemain.nta.nic.in. Along with the results, NTA has also released the cut-off for JEE Advanced 2026. This year, the percentile has increased to 93.4123549 percentile score for Common Rank List or General Category.

The complete category wise cut off is provided below. Last year, the cut off for general category was 93.10 percentile. The marginal increase, however, is due to the increase in the number of students. As many as 2.5 lakh students will only qualify for the JEE Advanced 2026 examination. Registration of which will commence from tomorrow on the official website jeeadv.ac.in.

The percentile increase across other categories is still higher than the general category. For OBC Category, for instance, there is approximately 1 percentile point increase. For other reserved categories like SC and ST, the increase is of 2 to 4 percentile respectively. Check the category wise break up below.

Check: JEE Main Cut off 2026

Candidates who have not qualified for JEE Advanced will still be eligible to appear for JoSAA counselling for admission to NITs, IIITs and other technical institutes and engineering colleges accepting JEE Main score. Admission to IITs, however, will be done on the basis of JEE Advanced score.

Please note, qualifying for JEE Advanced does not guarantee student’s automatic submission for the entrance examination. Students need to still fill the JEE Advanced 2026 Online application form and register for the entrance examination. Apart from JEE Main qualification, students also need to meet the other eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced to appear in the examination.
