If you are one of the qualifiers you have a narrow window of about ten days to complete your JEE Advanced 2026 registration. The JEE Advanced registration process is entirely online. Students are advised to keep their scanned documents ready to avoid last-minute technical glitches. Check Your Eligibility: Who Can Apply?

Not every student who passed JEE Main can apply for the Advanced stage. You must satisfy these core criteria:

  • JEE Main Rank: You must be among the top 2,50,000 candidates in JEE Main 2026 (including all categories).
  • Age Limit: General category candidates should be born on or after October 1, 2001. There is a 5-year relaxation for SC/ST/PwD candidates (born on or after Oct 1, 1996).
  • Number of Attempts: You can attempt JEE Advanced a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.
  • Class 12th Performance: You must have appeared for your Class 12 board exams for the first time in either 2025 or 2026.

Eligibility and Shortlisting for JEE Advanced

The NTA shortlists the top 2,50,000 candidates from JEE Main to appear for the Advanced stage.

  • Category Distribution: The 2.5 lakh seats are divided as follows: 10% for Gen-EWS, 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, and 40.5% for the OPEN category.
  • Board Marks Requirement: To be admitted to an IIT, NIT, or IIIT, you must also secure at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST/PwD) in your Class 12 board exams or be in the top 20 percentile of your respective board.

  1. Login: Use your JEE Main 2026 Application Number and Password to log in.
