JEE Mains Result 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main Session 2 Result 2026 today, April 20, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the exams can check their results on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Students will need to use their application number and password to check their online scorecards. 

The JEE Mains 2026 Session 2 marksheet is provisional in nature and only for the reference of the students. It will carry important details like All India Rank (AIR), percentile marks, overall percentile, student’s details, etc. The JEE Mains exam, a computer-based test, was held on April 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, 2026. Approximately 11.23 lakh candidates appeared across 566 centres in 304 Indian cities and 14 cities abroad.

  2. Click on the ‘JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Result’ link.
  3. Enter your application number and password.
  4. Click the 'Submit' button.
  5. Your scorecard will be displayed on the screen.
  6. Download the result for your records.

The National Testing Agency will apply the tie-breaking rules for candidates obtaining the same JEE Mains scores. The tie-breaking rules will prioritise higher scores in Mathematics, then Physics, and finally Chemistry.

JEE Mains 2026 Tie-Breaking Rules 

  • The tie-breaking rules applicable to JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 are as follows
  • NTA score in Mathematics
  • NTA score in Physics
  • NTA score in Chemistry
  • Following this priority will be given to candidates with a lower proportion of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the Tes
  • Candidate with a lower proportion of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Mathematics will be considered next
  • Next candidate with a lower proportion of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Physics
  • Finally, the candidate with the lowest proportion of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Chemistry in the Test will be considered
  • If there is a tie even after this, candidates will be assigned the same rank.
