CBSE Class 12th Result 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has addressed the growing concerns regarding the Class 12 evaluation process. After the viral reports claiming technical glitches in the newly implemented On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, the Board has issued a stern clarification. Controller of Examinations, Sanyam Bhardwaj, has confirmed that the evaluation is "perfectly on track" and better than previous years. Students waiting for the CBSE 12th Result 2026 will be able to download it as per the shared timeline, i.e., in their week of May 2026.
CBSE Denies OSM Glitch: What the Controller of Examinations Said
Speaking to PTI, Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj said students will be able to check their result in the third week of May 2026, which was indicated earlier.
He dismissed the media report flagging technical issues in the newly introduced system as being "far away from facts".
"My evaluation is going very perfectly, better than the previous evaluation," Bhardwaj said, adding that the board is "so proud" of the rollout of the full-scale On-Screen Marking system this year.
"I refute each and every thing that has been stated in some media news portals. These are false, and everything is perfectly fine. We are so proud that we have started this process," he said.
Highlighting feedback from evaluators, Bhardwaj said teachers are expressing satisfaction with the system.
"They are sending me selfies, photographs, and messages thanking us, saying they are fortunate to work with this system," he said, adding that even those not assigned evaluation duties have shown interest in participating.
On the status of the evaluation process, Bhardwaj said it is proceeding "as per schedule".
When asked about the timeline for the declaration of results, he said students can expect them in the third week of May, as stated earlier. "The results will be declared when they are prepared. People should wait till then," he added.
