Tamil Nadu's 2026 Assembly Elections Results, the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), led by actor-turned-politician C. Joseph Vijay, formed a coalition government. On May 21, 2026, Chief Minister Vijay expanded his initial 10-member cabinet to 33 ministers by inducting 23 new MLAs at the Lok Bhavan in Chennai.

TVK’s government is the first coalition government in the state in nearly six decades, with the Indian National Congress (INC) officially joining the cabinet. The cabinet expansion features strong regional distribution, a record four women ministers, and strategic portfolio allocations including N. Marie Wilson taking over the crucial Finance department.

TVK’s governmnet total cabinet strength expanded from 10 to 33 members out of a maximum permitted 35 from which  21 MLAs from TVK and 2 MLAs from the Congress party. TVK also includes four women ministers, establishing a new record in Tamil Nadu's legislative history.
