The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has extended the deadlines for submitting application forms for the Head Constable and SI posts. A total of 284 vacancies are up for grabs. Of these, 233 vacancies are announced for Head Constable post and 51 for Sub Inspector. Earlier, the application window was open from March 21 to April 20. However, the board has revised the registration closing date i.e. May 4, giving the last opportunity to candidates to submit their applications.
Eligible candidates aged between 18 and 27 years can submit their applications through the official website, ssb.gov.in.

SSB Head Constable and SI Salary Structure
Candidates selected for SI post will be appointed under Pay Level 6, with a basic pay ranging from Rs 35400 to Rs 112400, along with applicable government allowances and benefits.
On the other hand, candidates shortlisted for Head Constable post will get salary ranging between Rs. 25,500 and Rs. 81,000 per month.
