RRB ALP Recruitment 2026: Vacancy Details

A total of 11,127 posts for Assistant Loco Pilot have been issued by the Railway Recruitment Board. These posts will be filled from among the 21 RRBs present throughout India. RRB ALP Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should fulfil all the eligibility criteria mentioned below before applying for RRB ALP Recruitment 2026. Please check the criteria carefully to not be disqualified at the time of the selection process:

1. Age Limit

• Minimum age is 18 yrs

• Maximum age is 30 yrs

2. Age Relaxation

Eligible candidates fromreserved categories are given some relaxation in the age limit as per government rules. 

3. Educational Qualification

Candidates must have at least one of the following educational qualifications:

• Matriculation / SSLC along with ITI from any recognized institutes of NCVT/SCVT in trades like Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Mechanic (Diesel), Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Mechanic, and various other trades.

• Matriculation / SSLC along with completion of Act Apprenticeships.

• Matriculation / SSLC along with 3 years Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering from any recognized institute instead of ITI.

• A degree in the above Engineering subjects is also acceptable instead of a Diploma in Engineering.

4. Medical Standard

• Candidates must be physically fit and fulfil the medical standard given by the Railway Authority.

5. Vision Standard

• Distant Vision should be 6/6 and 6/6 without glasses.

• Near Vision should be Sn: 0.6, 0.6 without glasses. 

• They should also have good eyesight to be able to see through Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Field of Vision, Night Vision, and Mesopic Vision.
