What is Freeze, Float and Slide in JoSAA Counselling
- Freeze means the candidate is completely happy with the college and the branch they got. They do not want to be a part of any rounds of JoSAA Counselling.
- Float is when the candidate selects the college and branch they have been given. They still want to see if they can get something better in the next rounds. This something better can be any of the choices they had picked when they were filling out their preferences.
- Slide is when the candidate chooses to accept the college they have been given. They want a better branch in that same college. This means the candidate likes the college. They want a better course from the list of courses they liked and they want this course, in the same college.
