Other categories like GOBC (OBC) and EWS, offer a stricter percentile for E&TC seats (94.28 and 89.17 respectively). The 2023 cutoff data showcased in the table explain two things. The strict competition between Electronics and Telecommunication (E&TC) branches has been the same for the past three years, and the other thing is the admission demand over the years. 

When open category students (GOPENS) check closing percentile for  E&TC, it goes till 91.45 percentile (Merit Number 21,068), and for Electrical Engineering at much lower, 80.23 percentile (Merit Number 46,469). The 2022 cutoff suggests trends for AISSMS IOIT Pune, where Electronics and Telecommunication (E&TC) for General category candidates (GOPENS) closed at 89.62 percentile and Electrical Engineering needed 68.70 percentile to secure a seat at the institute.
