Mahima Rajput Selected for International Space Mission ShakthiSAT, Set to Represent India

Mahima Rajaput is a class 10th student from India who has been selected for the international space mission ShaktiSAT. This is a major student led space program that brings together young participants from 108 countries. Mahima said she first learned about the mission though her school principal who informed her guidance teacher. Her teacher then completed ShaktiSAT registration for the program. After registering she started preparing for it which helped her understand the basics of space science and satellites in an easy and practical way. The training program consisted of 21 modules with 365 lessons. It provided students with detailed knowledge along with practical learning experience. She said each lesson was very helpful and helped in improving each step clearly. As part of the mission, students were trained in how satellites are designed and built, making the experience both educational and inspiring for young learners interested in space science.

Delhi Visit, Moon Mission and October Launch Plan

Mahima also shared that on August 23, she will travel to Delhi for the next important phase of the mission. There, students will work on building two satellites as part of the ShakthiSAT project. According to the plan, one satellite will land on the surface of the Moon, while the other will orbit around the Moon. This makes the mission highly exciting, especially because students themselves are getting the chance to be part of such an advanced space project.

The final launch of the satellites is expected to take place in October, marking a proud moment not only for Mahima Rajput but also for India. Her selection in the International Space Mission shows how students can achieve big dreams when their schools, teachers and right opportunities come together.
