Educator Prashant Kirad plans to file a Public Interest Litigation against the CBSE, alleging that the board failed to maintain a standard exam difficulty level across multiple sets. Seeking a response from the board, the educator claims that the board discriminated against students through question papers where the exam's difficulty level depended on their luck and region.
In the video uploaded, he mentioned that a PIL will be filed against the board seeking a response to the unfair practice of setting question papers. He further noted that earlier it happened with the CBSE class 10 mathematics exams, where some sets were easier while others required JEE Main and JEE Advanced level knowledge. The same has been seen in the CBSE Class 12 Physics paper, which is unfair to students who have been studying tirelessly but end up with a tough question paper.
The video, further questions the board's need to create so many sets without actually examining their difficulty level. The board has been setting multiple sets for years, but no one has ever witnessed such a stark contrast in the difficulty level between multiple sets of a single exam.
He has urged the CBSE to release an official statement announcing grace marks for students who had to attempt the difficult set or direct teachers to be lenient in evaluations.
Students and parents have also been demanding grace marks and leniency in the evaluation of copies of difficult sets. A few have even demanded for a re-examination.
