Sooryavanshi’s promotion to the national side was not an overnight miracle. It came on the back of relentless run-scoring across all formats. Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar clearly stated that the teenager's performance made his selection impossible to ignore. “He has picked himself through his performances with so much talent around in T20 cricket,” Agarkar further told reporters.
