UP Police Home Guard PET Postponed 2026: Check Official Notice & Latest Updates

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has once again officially postponed the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for the UP Home Guard Recruitment 2025. The physical test was scheduled to start on September 14, 2026. However, heavy rains and unpredictable weather conditions across the state of Uttar Pradesh have caused waterlogging at many exam centres. To ensure the safety of all the candidates is maintained, the board has decided to hold back the Physcoal test until further notice is issued.

UP Home Guard PET Postponed 2026 

The UPPRPB has postponed the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which was to be conducted for the UP Home Guard recruitment 2026, which was to start on September 14, 2026. Earlier, the recruitment board had postponed the September 8, 2026 PET exam, which was rescheduled for September 14, 2026. Due to continuous rainfall and waterlogging issues at various centres across Uttar Pradesh, the exam has been postponed again. UPPRPB has postponed the exam until further notice and will announce the new PET exam dates soon.

Why has UPPRPB postponed the UP Home Guard Physical Test 2026?

The continuous rainfall across Uttar Pradesh has caused difficult ground conditions at several running tracks and physical testing grounds. Waterlogging has also made it unsafe for candidates to attempt the physical test, such as running and long jumps. To maintain the safety of the candidates, prevent any injuries, and make sure of fair conditions for every candidate, the recruitment board has decided to postpone the Physical Efficiency Test temporarily.

This decision has been taken to protect the candidates from travelling during heavy downpours and flooded conditions. The recruitment board has also emphasised that the safety of the candidates who will be appearing for the UP Home Guard PET is of utmost importance. The PET will resume only after the weather conditions have stabilised and venues are clear.

 What Candidates Must Know about the UP Home Guard New PET Date?

Those candidates who are to appear for the UP Home Guard PET exam do not have to worry about their application status. The postponement of the exam is only temporary, and the selection process will continue as planned once the weather conditions are stable and clear.

• New Exam Dates:- The board will release new dates for the Physical Efficiency Test very soon on the official website.
• Fresh Admit Cards:- Revised admit cards will be published on the official website before the new test dates are announced. Candidates will have to download a fresh admit card showing their updated exam date and exam center details.
• Preparation Time:- Candidates can use this extra time to practice running and physical fitness routines at local grounds.
