SSC GD Exam Date 2026: The Staff Selection Commission of India (SSC) has announced the exam dates for the SSC GD Constable 2026 exam. Candidates gearing up to appear for the exam must know the complete schedule and shift timings to avoid any last-minute hassles. As per the schedule, the national-level exam will commence from 23 February onwards for the recruitment of Constable (GD) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, and Sepoy in the Narcotics Control Bureau.

Additionally, SSC is expected to open the SSC GD slot booking window shortly on its official website, ssc.gov.in. Through slot booking, candidates will be able to check their exam date, shift timing, and examination city.

The Staff Selection Commission conducts SSC GD Constable exam annually to recruit eligible candidates for the General Duty Constable post.  It is a highly competitive exam as thousands of candidates appear for it. This year will be no different either. Candidates successfully registered for the exam should now gear up for the final stage of preparation, as the examination is set to begin next week.

The SSC GD 2026 exam will begin from 23 February onwards to fill 25487 vacancies. Those who secure equivalent to SSC GD cut off will be eligible for PET & PST exam.

SSC GD Exam Date 2026 Admit Card

The commission issues admit card 4 to 5 days prior to the exam date. Hence, SSC GD admit card is likely to be released on 19 February. However, there is no official announcement made by the commission. Successfully registered candidates can download their SSC GD Constable admit card using their registration number and password.

SSC GD Admit card 2026 acts as an entry pass to the examination hall. Candidates must download and carry a printed copy of the admit card to the examination centre, as entry will not be permitted without it. The hall ticket contains crucial details such as exam date, shift timing, reporting time, centre address, and exam-day instructions.

SSC GD Shift Timings

Thousands of candidates appear for SSC GD exam. Hence, the commission conducts the exam in multiple shifts across the country to accommodate large number of candidates. SSC GD exam is likely to be held in four shifts: shift 1 will be held from 9 am to 10 am, shift 2 from 11:45 am to 12:45 pm, shift 3 from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, and shift 4 from 5:15 pm to 6:15 pm.
