Prelims Exam:- It will be a objective type paper on general studies and will consist of 150 marks. The paper will be held for 2 hours. There will be negative marking of 1/3rd marks for each incorrect answer, and no marks will be given for an unanswered question. The candidates appearing for this exam will have to score above or meet the qualifying marks to move to the next stage.

Mains Exam:- This is a written and descriptive exam. This paper will be conducted for papers like General Hindi, General Studies Paper 1, General Studies Paper 2, Essay (For CCE) and other optional subjects as opted by the candidates. Apart from the General Hindi Paper, which will be of 100 marks, all other papers will be 300 marks and will be conducted for 3 hours (except for optional subjects).
