The Indian Army will conduct the Agniveer Common Entrance Examination (CEE) from June 01 to June 15 to select unmarried Indian male and female candidates under the Agnipath Scheme to join the Indian Army as Agniveers. Selected candidates will serve in the Indian Army for four years. During the first year, the in-hand salary will be approximately ₹21,000 per month, and it will increase every year. In addition to the salary, candidates will receive a “Seva Nidhi” package of ₹10,04,000 at the end of their four-year service. After completing four years, 25% of Agniveers will be selected for permanent enrolment as regular cadres in the Indian Army, based on organisational requirements and performance. What is the salary of Agniveer in Indian Army 2026?
An Agniveer gets ₹30,000 per month as a salary in the Indian Army. This salary increases every year during the four-year service period under the Agnipath Scheme. In addition, risk and hardship allowances (as applicable in the Indian Army), dress and travel allowances will be paid. Agniveer Seva Nidhi amount after 4 years
After completing four years of service in the Indian Army, 25% of Agniveers will be selected for permanent enrolment as regular cadres based on merit and organisational requirements. The remaining 75% of Agniveers will exit the service and receive the ‘Seva Nidhi’ package under the Agnipath Scheme. This package includes:

Army Agniveer Leave Policy
The following leave will be granted for Agniveers during their service period.
Annual Leave: 30 days per year
Sick Leave: Based on medical advice.
Army Agniveer Medical and CSD Facilities
All the Agniveers will be entitled to medical facilities at service hospitals during their service period. Apart from that, they can also avail of the CSD facility
Army Agniveer Insurance and Compensation Policy
Agniveer will be provided non-contributory life insurance cover of Rs 48,00,000 for the duration of their engagement period as Agniveer in the Indian Army. Agniveer will not be governed by provisions contained in the Pension Regulations/Rules for the Indian Army.
Agniveer Skill Certificate Post Service
At the end of the service period, a detailed Skill-set certificate will be provided to the Agniveers, highlighting the skills and level of competency acquired by them during their engagement period.
