APTET Notification 2026: Check Eligibility Criteria and Steps to Apply Here

The Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET) notification will be out soon by the Department of School Education, Andhra Pradesh government. APTET is a state-level exam to determine eligibility for candidates who are aspiring to become teachers in the state. The official notification for AP TET 2026 will be available on the official website, tet2dsc.apcfss.in. 

The candidates who pass the AP TET exam are eligible to apply for the primary and secondary schools of government schools in the state. The paper is divided into two parts and conducted online. Candidates who are in their final semester are also eligible to apply.

APTET Exam 2026: Eligibility Criteria

The AP TET 2026 eligibility criteria will be released by the conducting authority through the official notification. Only candidates who fulfill the prescribed eligibility conditions will be allowed to apply for the examination. The eligibility requirements differ according to the level of the exam chosen by the candidate. Check eligibility criteria here for your reference.

1. For Primary Teachers

Candidates who have completed intermediate or senior secondary education in any stream are eligible to apply. Applicants with a graduation degree securing at least 45% marks along with a one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree can also apply. In addition, candidates who have passed Intermediate or Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and hold a four-year integrated B.A./B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed degree are also eligible for the examination. 

2. For Upper Primary Teachers

Candidates who have secured at least 50% marks in B.A.Ed or B.Sc.Ed are eligible to apply. Apart from this, applicants holding a graduation degree in Bachelor of Oriental Language or an equivalent qualification, with the concerned language as one of the optional subjects, are also eligible. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in literature or a postgraduate degree in the concerned language can also apply. Additionally, candidates must possess a Language Pandit Training Certificate or a B.Ed. degree with the concerned language as one of the methodologies.

Candidates can follow the steps below to fill their APTET application form

• Visit the Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh, website at aptet.apcfss.in.

• Click on the online application for the AP TET Examination 2026.

• Fill out the online application form

• Upload a recent passport-size photograph and signature.

• Pay the application fee.

• Submit the application form and save it for future reference.
