Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, KVS, is set to release the second provisional merit list and lottery results for Class 1 admissions today, April 16, 2026. This list is specifically for schools across the country that still have vacant seats following the completion of the first round of admissions. Parents and guardians who registered their children for the 2026-27 academic session can check the results on the official KVS admission website or the respective school’s website.
As per the official schedule, if seats remain empty even after the second list, a third list will be published on April 21, 2026. Once a student’s name appears on the provisional list, parents must report to the allocated school with all necessary original documents for verification to secure the seat.
KVS Admission 2026: Important Documents and Offline Registration Details
To finalise the admission process, parents are required to carry the child’s original birth certificate, residence proof, and two photographs. Additionally, category-specific certificates, SC, ST, OBC-NCL and a service certificate for government employees must be submitted.
In cases where sufficient online applications are not received for reserved categories such as RTE, SC, ST, and OBC-NCL, KVS will issue a second notification for offline registrations on April 21, 2026. The offline registration window will be open from April 22 to April 26, with the subsequent merit lists for these categories being released between April 27 and April 30, 2026.
