The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has listed the PGCET-2026 First Round MBA/MCA Option Entry Link dated September 11, 2026 on its counselling portal, as shown in the latest portal update. Candidates participating in the Karnataka PGCET 2026 counselling process can use the option entry facility to submit their preferred colleges and courses.

However, candidates should note that the latest KEA first-round schedule formally issued on September 10 specifically mentions the claim slip download window from September 11 to September 15. The notice did not provide final dates for option entry, seat allotment, fee payment or reporting. 

Therefore, candidates should check the KEA portal carefully for the active option-entry window and the final deadline before submitting their choices.

PGCET 2026 MBA, MCA Option Entry: Candidates Must Check Seat Matrix

Before entering options, candidates should carefully check the final seat matrix released by KEA. The authority has indicated that option entry will be conducted against the final seat matrix, rather than the draft matrix.

The draft seat matrix for MBA, MCA, M.Tech and M.Arch was released in September and was open to objections. Candidates should therefore avoid selecting colleges or courses solely on the basis of an old seat matrix or unofficial counselling list.

Karnataka PGCET 2026 Eligibility for Counselling

As per the latest KEA update, candidates generally need to meet the prescribed academic eligibility for their respective course. The latest first-round notification reiterates a minimum 50% aggregate across all subjects and years of the qualifying degree, with 45% applicable to SC, ST and Category-I candidates, subject to the detailed eligibility rules.
