CBSE Board Exam 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education is scheduled to begin the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 Board Exam 2026 from today, February 17, 2026. As per the notification issued by the board, this year, over 46 Lakh students are scheduled to appear for the CBSE examinations across India and 26 countries abroad. 

Students appearing for the CBSE board exam 2026 must make sure they keep the guidelines and important instructions in mind when appearing for the exam. According to the advisory issued, the CBSE board exams commence at 10:30 AM. All students have been advised to reach their exam centres at least by 10 AM. 

Candidates have also been warned about traffic congestions which is likely to happen considering the National/ International Summits, High Level meetings and other programmes scheduled to be held simultaneously on the day. There are chances of route diversions and delays in different parts of the country. Students are hence advised to make note of the same and leave for their exam centres, keeping in mind the extra time. 

The Delhi Police has stated that arrangements have been put in place to minimise disruptions and ensure that CBSE students are able to reach their exam centres on time, and the AI summit is also conducted smoothly.

Traffic Advisory for CBSE Candidates

The AI Summit is being held from February 16 to 20, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, which overlaps with the CBSE board exams, which begin tomorrow. Students appearing for their CBSE board exams are advised to carry their CBSE class 10 and class 12 admit cards with them on the exam day. According to the advisory issued by Delhi Police, all field staff of the Delhi police have been sensitised to assist students carrying admit cards/ date sheets for appearing in the exams. Students can seek help from the officers who will help them reach their centres on time. 

CBSE Board Exam 2026: Exam Day Guidelines

  • CBSE board 10th and 12th exams 2026 will be conducted across designated exam centres. Candidates appearing for the exams must make sure they carry their CBSE 10th and 12th admit cards with them. The admit card will include the details of candidates along with the exam schedule.

  • Mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, Bluetooth devices, etc., are not allowed inside the exam centre

  • Candidates are not allowed to carry along with them any pieces of space papers, exam study materials or anything suspicious inside the exam hall.

  • Entry into the exam hall will not be permitted without the admit cards

  • Candidates are allowed to carry only hard copies of their CBSE admit cards

  • Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam hall before the exams conclude

  • Students found discussing questions or cheating during the duration of the exam will not be allowed to continue.
