WBCHSE Class 12 English (B) Question Paper and Answer Key 2026: Download PDF

On February 13, 2026, today (Friday) the West Bengal Board conducted Class 12 English (B) exam. The paper was held during the morning shift, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (with an additional 15 minutes of reading time).

Students are expected to get the official question paper and answer key by late February. As the West Bengal board may release the question paper and answer key on its platform at the end of the exam cycle. While the final WBCHSE results are expected in May 2026, candidates can utilise the question paper and answer key shared here to calculate scores and analyze their performance.

A) I don’t think I will be able to make it. I missed the bus. (Combine the given sentences to form a Complex Sentence)

B) Nobody knew where to go, so we asked some random people for directions to the hills. (Split into two simple sentences)

Section 7: Answer any one out of three questions. 

A) ‘And the earth’s face upward for my inspection’ – Comment on the idea of authority as expressed in the given line with reference to the context.

B) Comment on the metaphorical use of the bare branches of autumn in Sonnet 73.

C) Describe the central ideas of the poem, “The Greenhouse Effect”
