Uttar Pradesh: Localised School Holiday Due To Reverse Flow of Maha Kumbh
The District authorities have announced school closure in major religious districts in Ayodhya and Varanasi due to a large influx of devotees visiting the cities as a reverse flow (Palat Pravah) of the Maha Kumbh.

Schools will be closed up to class 12 in Ayodhya from February 11th to 14th, 2026.

In Varanasi, schools up to grade 8 have been closed until the 14th.

Schools in Mirzapur are also declared closed until February 13th.
Although the regular classes will be affected, all the board related practical exams will continue as usual.
The shutdown is in view to manage the huge crowd flowing towards the cities to visit the auspicious temples, causing severe transportation movement across these spiritual cities.
