CBSE has released Class 9 syllabus for all subjects for the 2026-27 academic session. Students can access a direct link to download the main subject, like the Math syllabus, from here. As a foundational discipline, the subject aims at promoting logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and real-world problem-solving capabilities. In recent changes made as per the National Curriculum Framework (NCF-SE 2023) by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), it shifts the focus from rote memorization to promoting critical abilities in students. The subject follows an 80-mark annual theory exam and a 20-mark internal assessment structure, including chapters like Number Systems, Algebra, Coordinate Geometry, Geometry, Mensuration, and Statistics & Probability. In order to help students get detailed access to the syllabus, we have shared a comprehensive guide to understand the syllabus, marking structure, paper design, and key changes, along with prescribed books by the board.

CBSE Class 9 Maths Syllabus 2026-27: Key Changes

The CBSE Class 9 Information Technology (Subject Code 402) syllabus for 2026–27 has not seen any major changes. It retains the previous year's syllabus structure but has shifted its focus to competency-based questions. The curriculum contains practical, competency-based questions as per the National Curriculum Framework, to boost foundational understanding of the subject, rather than focusing on traditional formats.
