The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the latest Class 12 Home Science syllabus for the 2026-27 academic session. To promote real life skills and enhance conceptual learning, the class 12 curriculum for home science emphasizes "work and careers." It includes significant domains like Foods and Nutrition, Human Development and Family Studies, Fabric and Apparel, Resource, Management and Communication and Extension. In order to make an informed career choice, the board has incorporated this year's syllabus with topics that boost knowledge and skills, too. From here students can find a comprehensive syllabus, a PDF link, section-wise marks distribution, new updates, and other details to help prepare for the Home Science exam well. .

CBSE Class 12 Home Science Syllabus 2026-27: New Updates 

CBSE has not implemented major changes in Class 12 Home Science (Subject Code: 064) syllabus for the 2026-27 academic year. The curriculum follows the previous year's pattern and focuses on competency-based questions, as per the National Curriculum Framework (NCFSE). The shift in learning and exam pattern techniques aims at promoting critical thinking and real-life skills.

The CBSE Class 12 Home Science (2026–27) question paper design balances conceptual knowledge with practical problem-solving skills across a 70-mark theory paper. The structure emphasizes a deep cognitive mix, dedicating 40% of the weightage to core knowledge and understanding, while allocating the remaining 60% equally between application-based and higher-order thinking skills.
