Under the newly implemented framework, candidates who will be applying for the upcoming government recruitment exams will have to meet the strict local residency, tribal status and language proficiency criteria. The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has officially included these updated eligibility standards in its advertisement for 155 Group-A and Group-B gazetted (Technical) posts across important departments, including Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary and Textiles and Handicrafts.

The state cabinet approved the revised framework, followed by a formal notification which was issued by the Administrative Reforms and Training Department. - The candidate must have a valid PRC (Permanent Residence Certificate) issued by an authorised state revenue authority confirming long-term residency within Arunachal Pradesh.
- The candidates should also have verified Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) Certificate status documentation establishing indigenous origin.
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate local language skills to make sure the public servants can communicate effectively with the tribal communities residing in Arunachal Pradesh.
