IGNOU Placement Drive 2026: 350+ Jobs Up For Grabs, This Bank Offers 200 Vacancies
IGNOU is set to conduct a two-day placement drive on September 17 and 18 at its Maidan Garhi campus, with more than 350 employment opportunities across sectors. Axis Bank alone is offering over 200 vacancies under its sales programme.
Students and alumni of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will have access to a wide range of employment opportunities next week as the university’s Campus Placement Cell prepares to conduct a two-day recruitment drive in New Delhi. The event is scheduled for September 17 and 18 and will bring recruiters from sectors including banking, healthcare, e-commerce, logistics, fintech, manufacturing and other services.
The Mega Campus Placement Drive will be conducted at the B R Ambedkar Convention Centre at IGNOU Headquarters in Maidan Garhi, New Delhi. The event will begin at 10 am on both days. According to IGNOU’s official placement brochure, more than 350 opportunities are available through the drive.
Axis Bank Offers More Than 200 Positions
One of the major recruitment opportunities at the event is being offered by Axis Bank. The bank will conduct a dedicated recruitment drive on September 17 for its Officer Sales (OS1) position under the Learn-Earn-Grow programme.
More than 200 vacancies are available for the role. The position involves field sales and customer acquisition activities in Delhi-NCR. According to the details released for the drive, selected candidates will generally be placed within 10 to 15 kilometres of their home location.
The position carries a CTC of Rs 2.3 lakh per annum, besides medical benefits and performance-linked incentives. The average incentive is around Rs 5,000, while the maximum incentive mentioned is up to Rs 60,000.
The Axis Bank opportunity is open to graduates from any stream between 21 and 28 years of age. Candidates should not have active backlogs or academic arrears and must have between zero and nine months of work experience.
Recruiters Across Multiple Sectors
The wider placement drive, being conducted in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), will feature companies offering jobs across different sectors.
The participating organisations include Axis Bank, Samsung, iEnergizer, Cogent E Services, Tata Play Fiber, Ather and 1Point1 Solutions, among others.
Job profiles range from banking and sales to customer support and presales roles. Salary structures vary depending on the company, position and experience required.
For instance, Axis Bank has listed a voice-process role with a CTC of up to Rs 25,000 per month. Samsung is recruiting sales executives, with in-hand salaries of Rs 22,000 per month for freshers and Rs 25,000 for experienced candidates, along with incentives.
iEnergizer is offering customer support positions linked to an Air India voice process, with a CTC of Rs 30,000 per month. Cogent E Services has listed an Axis Health Insurance calling-sales role with a salary of up to Rs 35,000 per month plus incentives.
Who Can Participate?
The placement event is specifically intended for IGNOU learners and alumni. The services-sector recruitment component includes graduates, undergraduates, postgraduates and diploma holders from relevant disciplines.
Candidates are expected to have good communication skills and basic computer knowledge. However, eligibility can differ between recruiters and individual job profiles, so applicants should check the requirements applicable to the position they intend to apply for.
Selection Process
The recruitment procedure will depend on the company and position. For the Axis Bank Sales Academy opportunity, candidates will go through resume shortlisting followed by an assessment test or interview.
Shortlisted candidates will then undergo five days of virtual training before the final onboarding stage.
