The FMGE October 2026 application process commenced today, September 11, 2026. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has opened the online registration window for foreign medical graduates who want to appear for the October session exam. Candidates can now visit the official website at natboard.edu.in to fill out the FMGE October 2026 application form and complete their registration. The last date to register for the exam is September 25, 2026. The FMGE exam is scheduled to be held on October 31, 2026.
The FMGE is a screening test for Indian citizens and eligible overseas Indian citizens who have obtained their primary medical qualification from a medical institution outside India and wish to practice medicine in the country. Steps to Register for FMGE Application 2026
Candidates can follow the simple steps mentioned below to register for FMGE application online.
- Visit the official website at natboard.edu.in and open the FMGE 2026 application page
- Register as a new user to generate your User ID and password
- Enter your name, email, Aadhaar, Mobile number and nationality correctly
- Verify your email using the OTP sent to your registered email
- Login with your User ID and password to access the application form
- Enter your passport and other required identification details
- Fill in your class 12 and primary medical qualification details
- Select your country, city and medical institution
- Upload the required certificates and supporting documents
- Upload your recent photograph, signature and thumb impression
- Select four test cities from the available options
- Pay the FMGE application fee of Rs 4,650 online
- Review all details and upload documents before submission
- Accept the declaration and submit the application form
- Check that the payment status shows “S” (Successful) in the application PDF
- Download and save the submitted application form for future reference

Documents Required for FMGE October Registration 2026
Candidates are advised to keep the following documents ready while applying for FMGE exam that is scheduled to be held on October 31, 2026.

| Primary Medical Qualification | Degree Certificate or Provisional Pass Certificate of the Primary Medical Qualification, duly attested by the Indian Embassy in the country where the qualification was obtained or apostilled as per the Hague Convention requirements. |
| Proof of passing the final examination | The Degree/Provisional Pass Certificate must establish that the final examination result was declared on or before August 31, 2026. |
| Proof of Citizenship | Indian citizens/NRI candidates: valid Indian passport, including its front and last pages. OCI candidates: OCI Card plus valid passport of the country of citizenship. Nepalese citizens may upload a Government of India-issued photo ID such as PAN Card or Driving Licence. |
| Eligibility Certificate (EC) | EC issued by MCI/NMC, wherever applicable. Candidates covered by an exemption may need to upload an admission letter confirming the exact admission date instead. |
| NEET-UG Score Card | Candidates who obtained admission to their Primary Medical Qualification in May 2018 or later must upload the NEET-UG qualifying score card in lieu of the EC. |
| Recent Photograph | A recent photograph taken no more than three months before the application submission date, as per NBEMS image guidelines. |
| Scanned Signature | Signature scanned and uploaded according to the prescribed NBEMS specifications. |
| Thumb Impression | Scanned thumb impression as per the prescribed image-upload guidelines. |
| Disability Certificate, if applicable | Valid Disability Certificate/UDID issued by the competent authority and the applicable Appendix if claiming scribe and/or compensatory time. |
