The traffic movement around New Delhi and diplomatic zones is under strict regulation to allow smooth passage for VVIP motorcades today. You should avoid major arterial routes surrounding Bharat Mandapam and nearby luxury hotels amid BRICS Summit 2026 preparation.

Motorists are instructed not to park along any controlled stretch of BRIC Summit 2026 venue. Roadside parking within 200 meters of these regulated corridors is strictly prohibited and subject to immediate towing.

What are Alternate Routes for IGI Airport and Delhi Railway Stations Today?

Commuters traveling to IGI Airport, New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS), or Old Delhi Railway Station should account for additional travel time from 10 September to 13 September 2026 due to BRICS 2026:

Heading to IGI Airport (Terminals T1, T2, & T3)

• From Gurugram: Take NH-48 → Rao Gajraj Singh Marg → Old Delhi-Gurugram Road → UER-II service road directly to T3 Terminal Road.

• From Dwarka: Use Sector 22 Dwarka Road and the UER-II tunnel directly connecting to Terminal 3.

• From North and West Delhi: Follow Punjabi Bagh Chowk → Ring Road → Raja Garden → Najafgarh Road → Pankha Road → Dabri-Dwarka Road → UER-II → NH-48.

• Recommended Public Transport Option: The Airport Express Metro Line (Orange Line) from New Delhi Railway Station directly to T3 remains the fastest option.

Reaching New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS)

Approach from the Paharganj side via DB Gupta Road and Panchkuian Road through the Outer Circle of Connaught Place. Avoide Ajmeri Gate and Mathura Road.

Reaching Old Delhi Railway Station (ODRS)

Use ISBT Kashmiri Gate → Ring Road → Hanuman Mandir → SP Mukherjee Marg.

The Delhi traffic advisory regulations focus on VIP movement corridors connecting major hotels to the diplomatic enclave. The evening restriction window remains active for two hours.

Traffic officers shall be deployed at strategic intersection points to direct motorists into alternative routes. Emergency services shall be accorded unimpeded access through specific lanes.
