IIM Ahmedabad is one of India’s premier management institutes and accepts CAT scores for admission to its two year PGP (MBA) programme. For admission to IIM Ahmedabad batch 2027, candidates will need to appear and qualify CAT 2026 exam which is scheduled to be conducted on November 29, 2026, but admission is not based on the CAT score alone, IIM A also considers candidates Class 10, 12 marks and bachelors degree marks, work experience and other academic and profile based parameters while shortlisting candidates. All the shortlisted candidates are then called for the Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI). After which IIM Ahmedabad calculates a final composite score based on multiple selection components and offers admission to candidates based on their overall performance. For AWT and PI shortlisted, IIM A calculates a composite score using the candidates normalised CAT performance and application rating. The CAT score carries the higher weightage, while the application rating reflects the candidates academic profile and other relevant factors.
