Odisha promising long jumper Sarun Payasingh won the fourth leg of the Indian Athletics Series in Ranchi with a best distance of 7.46 meters. This accomplishment solidified his position as a star in Indian athletics, only a few days earlier on April 12, 2026.

The fourth leg of the Indian Athletics Series, held in Ranchi, attracted top competitors in various fields. Payasingh led the men in the long jump, besting Muhammed Anees (7.19m, Reliance) and Urvish P (7.08m, Reliance).
