NEET UG 2026: New Rules Introduced in NEET 2026
This year, the National Testing Agency has introduced stricter verification measures to improve transparency and reduce malpractice.
The following key changes have been introduced for NEET UG 2026:
- Aadhaar-based eKYC Verification: Mandatory eKYC verification using Aadhaar details during the online registration process. This is to ensure the authenticity of candidate identity during registration.
- Live Photograph Capture: Candidates are required to undergo a live photograph capture during registration, in addition to uploading a standard image. To prevent the use of fraudulent or outdated photographs.
- Enhanced Identity Verification at Exam Centres: Stricter and multi-layered identity checks will be conducted at the examination venues. To ensure that only genuine registered candidates are allowed to appear for the exam.
