India Post has released the GDS 2nd Merit List 2026 on its official website. Candidates who were not selected in the first list can check their names in the second merit list PDF. The 2nd list or the suplementary list has been released for 19 Circles and list for 4 circles has been withheld due to the Model Code of Conduct. The list will include registration numbers, marks, and document verification details.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • India Post has released GDS 2nd Merit List 2026 on the official website.
  • Candidates can check selection status using registration number.
  • A total of 28,636 GDS vacancies are being filled, with 28,558 candidates already shortlisted in the first merit list.

India Post has released the first GDS merit list, in which 28,558 candidates have been shortlisted for document verification. Candidates who were not selected in this round should not worry. The second GDS merit list has been released on the official website, indiapostgds.gov.in on 10 April 2026. This list will include the names and registration numbers of newly selected candidates.

Applicants who have applied for 28,636 vacancies for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Post Master (ABPM), and other posts will be able to check their selection status online. Candidates can download the state-wise merit list PDF from the official website and verify their results. The list of Circles and Divisions for which supplementary lists have been withheld due to the Model Code of Conduct are Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal.

Candidates can easily download the GDS 2nd Merit List 2026 from the official India Post website by following these steps:

  • Go to the “Candidate’s Corner” section available on the left side.

  • Scroll down and find the “Online Engagement” section.

  • Click on the link titled “2nd Merit List PDF”.

  • A list of all postal circles will appear on the screen. Select your respective state or circle.

  • The GDS Result 2026 2nd Merit List PDF will open for your selected region.

  • Use Ctrl + F and enter your 7-digit Registration Number to quickly find your result.

  • If your number appears in the list, check the Document Verification (DV) date, venue, and required documents mentioned next to your name.

    Applicants are advised to thoroughly review the annual salary package for positions such as Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevaks.
