JKSSB Recruitment 2026: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has started the online application process for the recruitment to 518 posts across various departments of Jammu and Kashmir. The official notification was released under the Advt No. 08 of 2026 . The notification was issued on August 4, 2026 and includes UT Divisional and District Cadre posts. The online application has already started from September 10, 2026 and candidates can submit their applications till October 9, 2026.

JKSSB Notification 2026 Highlights

The recruitment drive covers 518 vacancies in four departments. The Health and Medical Education Department has the highest number of posts with 421 vacancies followed by the Higher Education Department with 48 posts and the Agriculture Production Department with 46 posts. JKSSB Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria & Application Fees

Interested candidates applying for the advertised posts must check the post specific eligibility criteria in order to ascertain their eligibility. Check key details below.

1. Educational Qualification-

• Educational qualifications depend as per the post.

• Senior Canning Attendant post requires Matriculation or equivalent qualification with six months training in Fruit Preservation

• The Horticulture Technician Grade-IV post  requires 10+2 along with one year Basic Horticulture training.

• Junior Laboratory Assistant post requires graduation with preference for candidates having a postgraduate diploma in a professional laboratory course in Chemistry

2. Age Limit (As on January 1, 2026)

• The maximum age limit is 40 years for Open Merit candidates.

• The maximum age limit is 43 years for SC, ST-1, ST-2, RBA, ALC/IB, EWS and OBC candidates.

• The maximum age limit is 42 years for Physically Challenged Persons.

3. Other Conditions-

Candidates applying must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and must possess a valid Domicile Certificate by the last date of application.

Application Fees

• The application fee is Rs 600 for candidates belonging to the general category.

• SC, ST-1, ST-2, EWS and PwBD candidates have to pay Rs 500.

• The fee can be paid online through net banking, credit card or debit card.
