Online applications started from 12th May 2026, and the last date was previously extended from 11th June 2026. Coal India Recruitment 2026 Application Fees

Candidates who are applying for Coal India MT recruitment 2026 have to pay an application fee. According to official notification, General, OBC, and EWS categories, the fee will be Rs. 1000 plus GST Rs. 180, which makes the total application fee Rs. 1180. Applicants from SC, ST, and PwBD category and already working employees in CIL are completely exempted from paying any application fee. Application fee can be submitted only via online process using debit/credit card or UPI. Once submitted, the application fee is non-refundable and non-adjustable.

Educational Qualifications

• Candidates must complete B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.)/MCA/M.Sc/M.Tech or MA Degree from any recognised institution.

• The general, OBC (NCL), and EWS candidates must have at least 60% marks in their degree.

• The SC, ST, and PwBD candidates must have at least 55% marks in their degree.

• Final-year students of the 2025-26 session are also eligible to appear

• Online, part-time, or Open & Distance Learning qualifications are considered eligible only for the non-technical discipline

Maximum age is 30 years (General (UR) and EWS).

Eligible candidates fromreserved categories are given some relaxation in the age limit as per government rules. 

Coal India Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection process of Coal India MT Recruitment 2026 completely depends on the Computer-Based Test (CBT), and no interview will be conducted. The Computer-Based Test comprises two papers, Paper I comprises General Knowledge, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and General English, and Paper II comprises Professional Knowledge. There is no negative marking in the examination. Hence, it is recommended that candidates attempt all questions. 

• Selected candidates in the Computer-Based Test will further undergo Document Verification.
