- Free Exit in NEET UP Round 1: Candidates allotted a seat in government or private medical/dental colleges can choose not to take admission without losing their security deposit.
- Participation in Further Rounds: Candidates who use the free exit option can still participate in the second or third round of NEET UP counselling.
- Registration After Allotment: Candidates who take a seat in Round 1 but later want to give up can do so up to two days before the choice filling process for Round 2 begins.
