QS Global MBA Rankings 2027: 3 IIMs In Top 100, 19 Indian B-Schools Feature
The QS Global MBA Rankings 2027 feature 19 Indian B-schools, including three IIMs in the global top 100. IIM Bangalore leads Indian entries, while five institutions make their debut.
The QS Global MBA Rankings 2027 have been released, with MIT Sloan School of Management in the United States securing the top position globally. This year, 19 Indian business schools feature in the rankings, with three Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) making it to the global top 100. Five Indian institutions have entered the rankings for the first time.
The top Indian entries include IIM Bangalore at 64th globally, followed by IIM Ahmedabad at 70th and IIM Calcutta at 95th. IIM Bangalore’s Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) is the highest-ranked Indian programme in the QS Global MBA 2027 rankings.
At 64th globally, IIM Bangalore’s EPGP also recorded the strongest employability performance among the three leading Indian programmes. IIM Bangalore ranked 29th globally for employability, while IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta ranked 35th and 39th, respectively, on the same indicator.
IIM Bangalore Programmes Perform Strongly Across QS Rankings
IIM Bangalore’s performance extends beyond the Global MBA rankings. Its two-year Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) ranked 31st globally in the QS Master’s in Management rankings, making it the highest-ranked Indian programme in that category.
The institute’s Post Graduate Programme in Business Analytics (PGPBA) also featured prominently, ranking 60th globally in the QS Master’s in Business Analytics rankings. The programme recorded a particularly strong employer reputation performance.
In the Global MBA rankings, IIM Bangalore’s EPGP, a one-year MBA programme for experienced professionals, ranked 64th globally and eighth in the Asia-Pacific region. The programme recorded an employability score of 78.3 and a thought leadership score of 71.5.
IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta Among Top Indian MBA Entries
IIM Ahmedabad secured the 70th position globally, making it the second-highest Indian entry in the QS Global MBA Rankings 2027. The institute was also the only Indian institution to feature among the global top 100 for entrepreneurship and alumni outcomes.
IIM Calcutta ranked 95th globally, keeping all three leading Indian IIMs within the top 100. The institute also recorded a strong performance on the diversity indicator among the three leading Indian entries.
O.P. Jindal Global University Leads New Indian Entrants
O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) emerged as the highest-ranked new Indian entrant, securing a position in the 171–180 global band. It also ranked 23rd in the QS Asia MBA Rankings 2027.
Five Indian institutions entered the QS Global MBA rankings for the first time this year. Besides JGU, the new entrants are Jaipuria Institute of Management, the School of Business and Management at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), the School of Leadership and Management at Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies, and Vikrant University Gwalior. The four other debutants were placed in the 301+ category.

Other Indian B-Schools In QS Global MBA Rankings 2027
IIM Kozhikode and IIM Indore have been placed in the 201–250 band, while IIM Lucknow and Woxsen School of Business feature in the 251–300 band.
Other Indian institutions appearing in the 301+ category include IIFT Delhi, IIM Udaipur, IMT Ghaziabad, International Management Institute Kolkata, K J Somaiya Institute of Management, Management Development Institute Gurgaon and XLRI – Xavier School of Management, among others.
The QS Global MBA Rankings 2027 cover 424 MBA programmes across 65 countries and territories. The rankings assess programmes on employability, return on investment, entrepreneurship and alumni outcomes, thought leadership and diversity, with employability carrying the highest weight in the methodology.
India’s representation in the rankings has increased substantially, rising from five institutions in 2020 and seven in 2022 to 19 entries in the 2027 edition. While the three leading IIMs remain in the global top 100, their overall positions are lower than in the previous edition.
