IGNOU Online Programmes Admission 2026: Application Deadline Extended to September 30

IGNOU Admission 2026: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has updated the deadline date for applications for the July 2026 intake to September 30, 2026, for ODL/online programmes offered at IGNOU. This update will give aspiring students more time to enrol themselves into any undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma or postgraduate diploma courses on open distance learning (ODL)/online learning (OL) without delaying the academic year. It needs to be noted that this deadline extension will not be applicable to any semester programme or certificate courses. The aspiring students need to fill out their application forms online via the respective websites ignouidmission.samarth.edu.in for the ODL programme and ignouiop.samarth.edu.in for the OL programme. 

The applicants need to make sure they have their Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) or APAAR ID handy when they are filling out the admission application form. The applicants need to make an account and upload their scanned copies of passport-sized photographs, signatories, educational mark sheets, and category certificates along with payment of non-refundable fees via credit cards, debit cards or net banking. It is highly recommended that applicants cross-check their eligibility criteria from the IGNOU prospectus before finally submitting their applications.

To apply for the IGNOU Online Programmes Admission 2026 follow the steps given below:

• Visit the official site ignouiop.samarth.edu.in and be prepared with your APAAR ID, valid email ID, and active mobile number. 

• Tap on the "New Registration" tab, give your personal information, generate a username and password, and verify it through OTP verification process.  

• Login into the system with your newly generated credentials and start applying for the July 2026 session via the online application portal.  

• Search among available courses offered, choose your desired course or program and provide details of your education and qualification.  

• Upload scanned soft copy of your photograph, signature, certificate/ mark sheets/ identity proof and category documents within size limit.  

• Pay your application fees via net banking, UPI, debit, or credit card and then download your confirmation page.
