The Namibia T20I Tri-Series has just concluded in Windhoek. The tournament consisted of three sides: South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe from the African continent. 

It holds crucial importance as one of the first major series to take place in Namibia, who is also one of the host nations alongside South Africa and Zimbabwe for the ICC ODI World Cup 2027.

The series also gave some brilliant performances. After a couple of matches, South Africa were crowned champions of the series. Below are the match highlights of the final and major stats of the series.

In the final, South Africa won the toss and decided to bat first. This was a relatively new South African side with so many young faces, and still they have performed brilliantly throughout the tournament.

Batters Jordan Hermann and Connor Esterhuizen came out to bat and gave the side a good start with an 84 run opening partnership in quick time. Then Dewald Brevis came at number three and scored 32 runs before Rubin Hermann and Duan Jansen finished the proceedings as South Africa posted a strong total of 205 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. 

For Zimbabwe, Newman Nyamhuri and Brad Evans took 2 wickets each, but overall the bowlers could not control the flow of runs.

Coming out to chase, Zimbabwe were under serious pressure right from the start as wickets started falling regularly, with Ben Curran departing on the first delivery, with four batters departed for just 25 runs on the board. Later, Brad Evans played a fighting unbeaten knock of 56 runs in just 31 deliveries, but that was far from what was needed as Zimbabwe were bundled out for 157 runs.

For South Africa, Duan Jansen and captain Bjorn Fortuin took wickets each in a comprehensive victory.

Lhuan-dre Pretorius topped the chart for most runs alongside Dewald Brevis, with both batters scoring 226 runs in the series. Meanwhile, Duan Jansen took 11 wickets in four games in a memorable outing.
